I first met French designer Irène Mamfredos when I was assigned by Popaganda magazine to photograph her for an article. I was mesmerized by her vibrant aesthetic and ability to combine different elements with fascinating results.
Passionate about her innovative fashion brand Kimale', she also designs jewelry where the African vibe is still present: giraffe pendants, gold and silver fish earrings, bracelets and rings, all hand crafted and in line with the ethical fashion philosophy of the brand.
Jewelry photography can sometimes be tricky though, mainly due to the reflections of the metal. We made sure the angle we used, the lights and the way the jewelry was positioned, contributed to the highest possible quality of the end photographic result. All the material is showcased in the online shop of the Museum of Cycladic Art.
